For today’s post I am styling a black and grey colorblock dress that I picked up from Ann Taylor. This dress is non maternity, however, because it is made of stretchy fabric it will be great post partum.
If you follow me on Instagram you know that I had the baby three weeks ago. I will be posting maternity looks for the next month while I get adjusted to being a new mom and being deprived.
I paired this dress with my trusty Nine West grey heels. These shoes are the most comfortable pair of shoes that I own. I literally wore them everyday during the last month of my pregnancy. My feet got so swollen that in the mornings I could not squeeze them into any of the flats that I own. The grey pair was the only pair that was able to get me through the day without me having to take my shoes off half way through the day.
As my pregnancy went along I found that I was more comfortable in dresses than pants. As you will notice in the coming weeks as I post the rest of my maternity looks that I was mostly in dresses. The cold Midwest winters were kind to me this year because we did not have much snow and the winter was a mild one. I was able to get away with wearing dresses.
