Ohio’s Top Places To Brunch:

Western Ohio //

Pullman Bay: Located at Grand Lake St. Mary’s, this adorable restaurant has been around forever! While the restaurant has recently been remodeled, the food hasn’t changed. From the steak and eggs to the pancakes, you won’t leave hungry. Not to mention, they have the BEST pie around. So be sure to order a piece of pie with your coffee and then your breakfast. You’ll thank me later!

Indian Head: If you are looking for another restaurant on another lake, you have to eat at Indian Head. Located in Russel’s Point, Indian Head is a must when visiting Indian Lake. If you are a fan of Bloody Mary’s, they have the best! There omelettes and home fries are to die for!

Central Ohio //

Bev knows all about the best places in central Ohio to have brunch. Here are her picks.

Northstar Cafe: This is the place to go if you want to fuel up before a day of shopping. Some of my favorite items on their brunch menu are the mushroom frittata, cowboy breakfast, and sweet potato turkey hash. If you are not in the mood for eggs then the chopped salad is a must. I have been trying to figure out what they have in this salad so I can replicate it.
WolfesRidge: The doughnuts are a must. These are just a starter. Some of my go pos after I have devoured the doughnuts are the bacon French toast, toad in a hole, huevos rancheros, and the Kentucky Fried sandwich. This microbrewery is a must visit when in Columbus. Be sure to make reservations beforehand. Their wait is usually over an hour on the weekends.
Dough Mama: Located in the hip Clintonville area Dough Mama is cute and quaint. For having lived in Nashville for almost 9 years, I missed biscuits and gravy. I have to say I found the place to finally get the biscuits that I missed so much after we left the south. Some of my menu favorites are the ham biscuit, avocado biscuit, biscuit and sausage gravy, and the house granola.

Union Cafe is located in the heart of the hip Short North district in Downtown Columbus. It serves as a cocktail lounge at night, but offers the most amazing buffet brunch. The staff is friendly and welcoming, vibe is casual and laidback, and the patio overlooks bustling High Street. Served buffet style, brunch includes an omelette bar, waffle bar, build-your-own Bloody Marys, and unlimited options of pancakes, sausage, fresh fruit, muffins and more. All for an affordable $13. Open at 10am for brunch on Sundays.
