This post was sponsored by Walmart. All opinions are my own.
Our house was built in the 1930s and the rooms are slightly small so when we had our son we went the minimalist route. We asked friends and family on what were the true essentials that one really needs after having a baby.
This month is Walmart’s Best of Baby Month where there they will be offering over 700 deals online and a handful of Rollbacks available in store too. With a second baby on the way I have been researching other items we will need to what we already own and I was elated to discover that Walmart carries a lot of high quality brands. During Walmart’s Baby Month they will have in-store Baby Retailtainment event with product demos, safety tips, and more! Click here to see their amazing baby selection.
Crib – We went with a crib that converts to a toddler bed. For the second baby, I found this crib with a drawer on the bottom. Storage is a huge issue and that drawer will definitely come handy. Also, one thing to note, cribs do not come with mattresses.
We also got a bassinet since I will be breastfeeding (check on this post I did with Walmart on breastfeeding essentials) I will have the baby in the room with us for at least the first 3 months till we establish some form of a routine. If you have a pack n play, then you really do not need to get a bassinet. We used a pack n play in our room with our first.
Chair – whatever chair you get you need to make sure that its comfortable since you will spend a lot of time in said chair during feeds.
Dresser – We went with the a long dresser since it fit perfectly under one of the windows in the room. We also used the top of the dresser as a changing table.
Storage – We have a basket for blankets and a book case.
