How To Style Mom Jeans – Casual

Mom jeans have become a favorite in my closet. I own a few pairs from Old Navy, Gap, and Zara. I remember back in college when you couldn’t pay me to wear anything that was that high on my waist. Now, if my jeans aren’t sitting right below my boobs, I don’t want them.

I am sharing different ways I style my mom jeans. In today’s post I paired my jeans with a Harriet Tubman t-shirt from Piccolinas, Express blazer, and Sarah Flint heels. For a more casual look I can get rid of the blazer and add a pair of loafers, mules, or sneakers.

Levi’s Ribcage Jeans

The Levi’s ribcage jeans are what I will call a modern day mom jean. Most mom jeans have the 90’s look to them but these are a different style. I own them in the greyish/black wash and also a lighter blue wash. Levi’s jeans sizing is a bit tricky and for the ribcage jeans I went with my normal size. They have no stretch to them and my normal was size was definitely snug, however, they sucked my mom belly in. They are definitely not a pair of jeans I would wear sitting around all day while I work. I have tried and because they have no stretch. they were not comfortable at all. They are worth the investment and I have been reaching for them a lot lately.

H&M Mom Jeans

I bought these H&M mom jeans mid pandemic when I needed a pair of jeans that fit. I ordered my normal size even though they have a bit of a stretch to them. I have worn them all day while working from home and they do not get extra slouchy from stretching. If you are looking for a pair of jeans but unsure if you will like them or not, these inexpensive ones would be a great place to start.
