How to Make a Simple Shape Turkey Craft
This is also a fun craft because you can teach kids how to recycle. It’s always more fun when you can recycle items from your home like cereal boxes. Use this craft as another way to teach your kids about reusing and recycling.
Step One
We used the cardboard of an old cereal box for our simple shape turkeys. Take apart where it’s glued together and turn inside out. Draw basic shapes on what is now the back of the cardboard with a black sharpie. Circle, triangle, and square.
Step Two
Cut out the shapes. For each, you will also need to cut a large yellow triangle beak as well as a red oval snood. Glue large googly eyes on each shape.
Step Three
Then, glue on the beak and snood. Now, cut rectangles from 5 different colors of cardstock for the feathers. Glue in place on the back of the cardboard.
Step Four
Finally, cut 2 triangles from the orange cardstock for the feet. And glue those in place. Do the same with the other shapes.
The next time you’re looking for a fun craft to do, I hope you’ll check this one out. Now, have fun gobbling your way to the Thanksgiving dinner table.
