Are you excited to have some fun with Rice Krispy treats? These 1 Fish 2 Fish Rice Krispy Treats are enjoyable for kids. They take only a few ingredients and you can be on your way creating tons of treats with your kiddos!
In honor of Dr. Suess, I have created these fun 1 Fish 2 Fish Rice Krispy Treats. I cannot get over how adorable these are. If you are having a baking night with the kids and want to keep it super simple, then these treats are for you! I love that it doesn’t take much to create memories with the kids that they will remember forever. You can do this with Gold Fish and blue icing, but also change it up for other holidays.
Ingredients for 1 Fish 2 Fish Rice Krispy Treats
- White Candy Balls (Sprinkles)or Mermaid Mix (sprinkles)
- Store-bought Rice Krispy treats (or homemade)
- 1 bag Melted Candy Coating
- Goldfish Snack
Equipment
- Deep Small bowl
- Paper Straws Paper Drinking Straws
- Blue Candy Melts
- Parchment lined baking sheet
Melt chocolate according to the package instructions.
Place the straws into the bottom of the Rice Krispy treats. Dip the treat at an angle into the chocolate, covering most of the front and top of the treat.
Immediately add goldfish and sprinkles (for the bubbles in the water).Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and let set for 20-25 mins
The parchment-lined baking sheet works so that you can move the treats around while they dry.
Because the treats are laid out on parchment paper, I would not recommend dipping the entire treat (front and back) into the chocolate, or else it will leave a thick coating of chocolate sticking out the sides of the treat if you use too much.
Take note not to burn the chocolate. Purchase candy melts in your desired color, as opposed to trying to color it.
